Bad Blood 2024 wwe Ple Was Okay But The Returns Were...
Summary:
This post talks about the Peacock PLE on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. The PLE was alright, but the return of The Rock and Goldberg made the PLE in my opinion. The match between CM Punk Vs Drew Mcintyre and the tag match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikola and Jacob Fatu, were the best two matches on the card. The rest of show was okay outside of the two matches I really liked. The rest of the post below also tells what I thought of the show and the matches.

Bad Blood 2024 wwe Ple Was Okay But The Returns Were Great!
Introduction
This post talks about the Peacock PLE on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. The PLE was alright, but the return of The Rock and Goldberg made the PLE in my opinion. The match between CM Punk Vs Drew Mcintyre and the tag match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes vs Solo Sikola and Jacob Fatu, were the best two matches on the card. The rest of show was okay outside of the two matches I really liked. The rest of the post below also tells what I thought of the show and the matches. I will also upload my thoughts on YouTube soon.
Opening/The First Match - Punk Vs Drew Mcintyre
The show opened up with Samatha Irwin and yes, she can sing but I'm not big on her ring announcing. Then Biancia, Jade and Naomi came out, I was like who cares. I left for a bit. Then came back and watched the highlights of the PPV a little later because I wasn't that invested. I came back in at the end of Priest vs Balor. The two matches that made me want to watch the rest were the opening and the main event.
The first match was CM Punk vs Drew Mcintyre. The match was good back and forth. Using the weapons was great, and seeing the blood on Drew was like wow I didn't expect this. Because of how WWE used to be. As long as it tells a story, I don't mind blood even though I'm not big on it. But in the end CM Punk got the victory with the GTS finisher. I'm guessing this is the end between these two, but this rivalry has been great to watch and the highlight of raw for the last year outside of the rest of the show which is boring.
Next matches of Nia Jaks Vs Bayley and Damien Priest Vs Finn Balor
I saw the highlights and Bayley almost got the belt back and did have Nia beat. We did Tiffany Stratton because a distraction. But in the end Nia did retain the title using the Samoan Drop from the second rope followed by the annihilator spot. The Nia spot was cool but still felt nothing like the Undertaker sit up. Tiffany almost got caught and cashed in but tried to hide it. I just wonder how much longer these two can be around each other before Tiffany takes the title.
This match was basically the revenge that Damien Priest was looking to get on Finn Balor. Which at times Judgement Day did get involved which also saw Priest hit the Chokeslam on both JD and Carlito. Once again Carlito isn't used right. Balor did hit the Coup De Grace and got a kick out twice. The third Priest caught Finn Balor with the south of heaven chokeslam, then one, two, three, with the victory. This rivalry looks to be over but who will Priest go through next? Is it another Judgement Day member or will Priest try to get the title back? I guess we will find out
Triple H Announcement/Goldberg/Rhea Ripley Vs Liv Morgain and Dominik in Shark Tank
Triple H came out and announced that Crown Jewels which I will cover will title vs title as in Cody vs Gunther and Liv vs Nia. Then Gunther came out and talked about what he said about Bret and then turned to Goldberg talking smack to him and even saying I hope you're a better father than a wrestler. I popped for seeing Goldberg and he was one of my favorites when I got into wwe in late 2003. Goldberg came out, and looked to go after Gunther before Triple H and security broke it up. Sami did attacked Gunther. Triple H raised Goldberg hand. A part of me wants to see Gunther Vs Goldberg. Definitely when Goldberg told Gunther he's next. I will have to say seeing Goldberg back in wwe was great. This was part of what made the PLE stand out to me.
Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan was alright for what it was. Dominik being scarred of height did add some interest to me to see what he does. The match looked like how does Liv overcome Rhea. Rhea did get the upper hand and looked like Rhea had the title back. She even did the rip tide on Liv twice. Even with Dominik coming down. He got loose with his foot and was hanging down. and Rhea got the kendo stick and hit Dominik with it a couple times. This felt like Rhea gets the last laugh. Then out of nowhere a return who Rhea took out a while back, Raquel Rodriguez. Raquel took care of Rhea then put her back in the ring where Liv was shown barely hanging on. Raquel put Liv on Rhea for Liv to retain the title. I wonder what next and who will return to help Rhea. I guess this is one rivalry that could go on until WrestleMania where Rhea gets the belt back.
Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns Vs Solo Sikola and Jacob Fatu and a return of who?
This match showed that Cody and Roman could put their differences aside. At times it looked like Solo and Jacob Fatu had the match in the favor. Cody and Roman would get the match back in their hands but even when everything was thrown at Cody and Roman as Tango Lou and Tama Tonga showed. up. A return of Jimmy Uso to help Roman and Cody, in the end with a spear from Roman to Solo to win the match. Roman and Cody with the victory. It felt like these two can work together but one day Roman will want the title back which we saw Roman look at Cody and show with words, then leave the ring with Jimmy USO.
After the match Roman and Jimmy would leave the ring and watch on. then The Bloodline would start to beat on Cody. Jimmy looked at Roman what you want to do? I'm down with whatever. Both make the save and help Cody Rhodes. All three stood tall and Roman handed the title on the ground to Cody. Then a return of who? The Rock did return then off the air. But he did count to three. What does that mean? He's not happy with Roman and that Cody is still champ. I also say go look up The Rock exclusive before leaving in the truck which is highly entertaining.
Also, the beat down Kevin Owens gave Cody is another problem and a huge shock.
Closing Thoughts
Closing Thoughts
Bad Blood overall wasn't that bad, but the returns made the night for me. The best two matches that made me want to watch the PLE were the opening between Punk and Drew, and the tag match in the main event. But we will see what The Rock means for Cody Rhodes over time and I think it's not good for his title reign. But I will say the rock coming back will bring eyes to Smackdown. So, we will see what happens between The Rock and Cody, or The Bloodline. I guess time will tell and hopefully Crown Jewel will be more watchable because two title matches don't really grab me. But I will try to cover that, and thanks for listening!
